We have been spending lots of time outside this weekend. It's sunny but really hot, like 90 degrees hot! Charlotte has been keeping cool by hanging out in her pool, running under the sprinkler, and sliding on her new slip 'n slide. We have enjoyed a leisurely weekend at home that has consisted of lots of cooking. I made a delicious black bean and spinach quesadilla last night followed by homemade chocolate chip cookies and tonight we had grilled salmon with dill along with potatoes and fresh corn. I love summer and all the fresh fruits and vegetables. My husband gets a long weekend, Yay! We are headed to the lake tomorrow to visit my in-law's. It should be a fun day. Charlotte always has a blast visiting Grandma and Poppie!

Charlotte's swim suit is adorable! I love the shot of the flag in the plant pot. Enjoy your long weekend and trip to the lake. It's a normal day in the UK today, but next weekend is a four day weekend as it's a bank holiday on the Monday then the Queen's Diamond Jubilee on the Tuesday. Yay! x
