Hello friends! Just a quick hello and a few pictures from the week. The sunset was gorgeous on Monday evening after it had rained all day. I just started reading the cutest, holiday rom-com. I love sitting out on our back deck reading in the warm, afternoon sunlight. And also, my afternoon cup of tea - matcha today. Are you a fan of matcha green tea? I've tried so many different brands, and I can say Pique is my favorite. Ryze also isn't bad - it's a mushroom matcha so it has more of an earthy taste.
Okay, so I need to go start on dinner - Swiss Chard and Ricotta Stuffed Pasta Shells in Marinara Sauce.
It was a good week. Have a great upcoming weekend!
I have never heard of Matcha tea, will have to look that one up. Looks like you found yourself a good book to sit and relax on these cold Autumn days. Your ricotta stuffed pasta shells sound delicious. Italian food is my favorite. Have a beautiful week, Julia.

You will have to give Matcha green tea a try! Yes, I love this cute and festive rom-com book I recently started reading. I'm also a big fan of Italian food! Hope you are having a lovely week, Sheri.
DeleteI enjoyed your Hello and each photo. Beautiful colors...Your meal sounded delicious...I love any kind of Italian food.. Happy Weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love a pretty sunset. I agree. Italian food is wonderful!
DeleteJulia, your pictures are so nice...and that sunset is gorgeous! Only God can paint a picture like that, yes?
ReplyDeleteOur daughter-in-law enjoys her Matcha every day. I only do herbal teas because the caffeine causes my heart rate to increase.
Have a lovely weekend, my friend. xx
Thank you, Dianna. You are right! Only God can paint a picture as pretty as a sunset. I also love herbal teas and usually drink those in the evenings.
DeleteWhat wonderful colour skies.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend.
All the best Jan
Thank you, Jan!
DeleteThe photos are beautiful. Thanks for sharing them. I've seen Pique tea promoted but have never tasted it- it is certainly expensive. Is it worth the price? The book looks cute. I've never tasted matcha tea.
ReplyDeleteHi Judee. Yes, Pique tea is rather pricey, but I don't drink it daily, so a box usually lasts about two months. I've tried so many and can say it's worth the price.
DeleteYour mug is so cute! I've never tasted matcha tea before. X
ReplyDeleteHi Jules. Thank you. I bought this mug at a local pottery festival about eight years ago. It's one of my favorites!
DeleteBeautiful sunset. Interesting tea. Swiss chard is nice because it takes on the flavors of whatever you're cooking it with. andrea
ReplyDeleteHello Andrea. I agree, Swiss chard takes on whatever flavors you are cooking it with. It's very versatile.
DeleteThis post makes me smile. Thank you.

DeleteHello dearest Julia! What a gorgeous sunset! I love books like that and I"m excited Hallmark movies have begun too. :) I like matcha at starbucks with a yummy flavored cream. I'm not sure I could drink it "straight" Lol Blessings. xoxo
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear Carrie! A gorgeous sunset gets me every time! Rom-com books are my favorite and this one is really cute and festive. I'm so happy Hallmark Christmas movies have begun! Sometimes I add honey to my matcha. A flavored cream would also be a good idea! Have a great day!
DeleteThat's the perfect setting for a good read. Yes, I love Matcha. I'm at work on break so I don't know the brand I use. Got it at Home Goods, made in Japan. Very nice taste. Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteI agree, I really enjoy sitting outside and reading when the weather is nice. I'll have to look for Matcha the next time I'm at Home Goods. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThe sunsets are beautiful, it's been nothing but grey skies here just lately. I've never tasted matcha tea.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely week. I always tend to judge a book by its cover - and that book has the cutest cover. I'm going to check it out:)
