Fall Decorating... Outside

Our front steps are all ready for Fall.  We had fun selecting pumpkins at Whole Foods this year.  We were going to visit a pumpkin patch, but haven't made it there yet.  We like these pumpkins, and we think they are perfect for carving, and maybe even stuffing with something yummy!

I usually always go with yellow mums, but the purple ones were really calling my name this year.  I love them!

Saturday Evening

Awww what a wonderful evening we had out on the patio enjoying beautiful Spring weather!  Wine for mommy, beer for daddy, bubbles for Charlotte and treats for the dog.  Yes, the perfect evening!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

We have been spending lots of time outside this weekend.  It's sunny but really hot, like 90 degrees hot!  Charlotte has been keeping cool by hanging out in her pool, running under the sprinkler, and sliding on her new slip 'n slide.  We have enjoyed a leisurely weekend at home that has consisted of lots of cooking.  I made a delicious black bean and spinach quesadilla last night followed by homemade chocolate chip cookies and tonight we had grilled salmon with dill along with potatoes and fresh corn.  I love summer and all the fresh fruits and vegetables.  My husband gets a long weekend, Yay!  We are headed to the lake tomorrow to visit my in-law's.  It should be a fun day.  Charlotte always has a blast visiting Grandma and Poppie!

Scenes from the Weekend and Other Stuff...

Just stopping in briefly to update.  Here are a few photos from our weekend.  Charlotte got to take her first splash of the season in her pool...she had a blast!  And we were off to visit my in-laws at the Lake on Sunday.  Charlotte always has a blast visiting Grandma and Poppie!  She loves to watch all the boats cruise up and down the Lake.  It was a fun day!  

It's been busy here with all this warm weather we are having, so we are spending lots of time outside.  It is suppose to reach 90 degress on Thursday (my birthday) which I have to say is a bit too hot for me!  And in other news, Charlotte has not been sleeping all that well for the last two weeks which makes for a very tired Mommy!  We finally got her out of our bed and into her big girl bed on Thursday night.  It's no problem getting her to fall asleep in her bed (with me in the room of course). The problem has been her frequent wakings and calling out for Mommy.  We are working on this and hopefully she will be sleeping through the night soon!  Charlotte had a checkup with her pediatrician on Thursday and she gave me a lot of helpful advice.  I am off to bed. Here is to (hopefully) a good night's sleep for everyone.
