My Mom's sweet neighbor gave me this lovely hydrangea bouquet the other day. I just love the color combination! It's amazing that they both came from the same plant.
They look lovely in my dining room.
I think I need to get a plant of my own to cut from! It would be so nice to have these in my house all Summer long.
I've wanted hydrangea since we moved into this house! I'm thinking about buying a couple for the shade garden :) You should, too. Then we could sit around drinking wine talking about our hydrangeas!
ReplyDeleteYou should totally go for it! And so should I! I love the idea of drinking wine in the garden and talking about our hydrangeas... wish we lived closer!
DeleteThey're so pretty, Julia! I love hydrangeas too but I'm not sure if I can grow them here. I love your green and white chair.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennifer! I know that they like to be in the shade, so maybe you could find a shady spot in your garden to try one. They really are so pretty! I just love my green chairs, too. The chairs are from Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams. I had them recovered in this Laura Ashley fabric a few years ago.
DeleteI love hydrangeas - I think they almost look nicer cut and in a vase than they do outside. I planted a bush last summer but it hasn't taken very well, I'm wondering if I need to move it...? The colour variations on yours are so pretty. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Gillian! I think they look nice in a vase, too. Maybe you need to move it to a shady spot, if it's not already in one. If so, just give it more time. I really like this color variation! I mostly just see the blue ones.
DeleteI LOVE hydrangeas. I have a few plants growing in the garden but they're not doing too well at the moment due to the cold wet weather. Hopefully they'll revive themselves in Spring time.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope they revive themselves by Spring! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteOh, these are just lovely! I also love hydrangeas. They're such a full, happy flower. My mom always had blue ones at her house and brought me a bouquet when my oldest was born. I'll always remember that. I love your painting of the flowers also! Where'd you find it?
ReplyDeleteThanks you, Sara! The painting is from Pier 1 Imports. And I just love how bright and cheerful it makes my dining room!
